Autumn Tree Kid Project

Over the past few months, I have been saving toilet paper and paper towel rolls to use for Autumn and Winter crafts. With three children, I wanted to make sure that I would have enough for all three of them to do the same crafts and I also wanted to be able to do them, as well. Pinterest is a wonderful website and I found a really cool craft courtesy of nicnacnoo.com.

First, have your child paint a tree trunk on their piece of paper. Now, while the paint dries, take a toilet paper roll, fold it in half and then cut it into little strips (1/4 inch thick). Once you cut the strips, you can open them up and they resemble leaf shapes. Glue them onto paper and let dry. Once dry, give your child a paintbrush and let them paint the inside of each leaf.  Let the paint dry. Voila! You have an adorable handmade tree. Your kids will have so much fun. I know that mine did.
